Dayton, Ohio based firm Miami Valley Pension, LLC has worked closely with The Retirement Plan Company for over six years to provide retirement plan recordkeeping with a high level of client care. Now, Miami Valley Pension officially joins The Retirement Plan Company family of businesses and brings an expertise in working with small to mid-sized plans.

John Kopra, President and CEO of The Retirement Plan Company stated the partnership was formed with clients’ needs in mind, allowing the combined firm to better serve employers, consultants, third-party-administrators, and financial advisors. “This merger reflects two larger trends in the defined contribution plan market,” Kopra said. “First, the need to have critical mass and a national scope in dealing with the smaller- to medium-sized employer segment, and second, the clear need to increase customer service levels to these plans while lowering the overall costs of servicing plans. We will continue to do both.”

Rick Pummill, one of Miami Valley Pension’s founders, will continue to serve clients in the Dayton community while also leading the combined company’s technical and consulting service division. Brady Ware & Schoenfeld, CPAs is divesting its Miami Valley Pension interest In order to facilitate the merger. This change will allow Brady Ware to focus on its core business.
